My Story and Philosophy

Hi, I’m Bridgette, Certified Health Coach, Personal Trainer, and former classically trained ballerina who went through a hormonal roller coaster!

Between the physical demands of dancing 8 hours per day, not fueling my body properly and maintaining a weight too low for my frame, I crashed and burned...

I was only in my 20s, but I was facing symptoms of hypothyroid and adrenal fatigue. It was very difficult to regulate my weight and control my cravings.

It took me a long time to realize that all of these signs were my body calling out for help. It wasn’t until I started my journey as a holistic hormone health coach working in the medical field that I learned what my body was likely going through. It took me about three years total to feel actually recovered.

Now, in my late 30's, I have adopted a lifestyle that I feel is balanced -- health-conscious, but not overly rigid in any particular "health protocol."  I've recently, at the age of 37, have given birth to my first child and had a WONDERFUL pregnancy-- even at my "advanced maternal age" (psshht!)

Even at a year postpartum, I actually feel like my body and metabolism are working better than ever. I attribute this to all the work that I’ve done over the last couple of years to get my adrenals, thyroid and metabolism working again.

I’m so grateful to have this beautiful baby boy and I am now on a quest to help other women who are experiencing similar symptoms to balance their bodies, and finally truly feel amazing.

I believe that the path to my heathiest and happiest self has been to live with a lot of joy and minimal fear. This is what I aim to teach my clients.

So now, I'm on a quest to help women do just that.

Part of that quest, is helping women to really finally appreciate and love themselves. In my years as a ballerina, I could never say that I actually loved myself. In fact, it was quite the opposite most of the time. I had a really great life and a great family that was super supportive of me, but the demands of my training on top of being a full-time student and being fed the idea that my body wasn’t  "good enough” to be “a star” was really rough on me emotionally.

I believe that this negative attitude about myself contributed to the imbalance of hormones in my body and everything I was experiencing physically at the time and I had no idea there was a connection. I had no idea how important hormones were and how the life I was leading was throwing them all out of whack.

I've learned that when you manage your lifestyle in way that heals your body, you become POWERFUL! You feel like superwoman!

There is so much we can do to heal our bodies and prevent disease and most of it is FREE-- sunshine, water, nature, nourishing food, managing stress, experiencing joy! Our fast-paced world often gets us so disconnected from these things.

There are so many external factors that are constantly affecting our body’s ability to produce hormones and properly detox properly. Not to mention all of the stress that comes out us on a daily basis, which is higher than ever, whether we realize and accept it, or not!

Women, especially, can be so driven in our ability to "get things done" that we ignore how we are truly feeling and/or sacrifice our self-care for others.

Sometimes it’s not until we have a major event or a “crash” that we're aware that there was even a problem to begin with.

The goal with my programs is to bring mental, physical, and emotional awareness back to you while having more joy and less fear! Your body is constantly providing you feedback on your health. If you learn to tune in and listen, you'll be able to really experience true WELLNESS!

I LOVE what I do and the love spills over into every client I work with. I hope you feel it too. :-)

I look forward to working with you!
